An incomplete cast lead powder flask cap, of Post Medieval dating (17th Century AD). Approximately 75% of the cap is present, with part of one side missing. It has been mishaped, probably due to movement in the ploughsoil. It is sub circular in plan, and sub rectangular in cross section. Originally it would have been circular or oval in plan (as viewed from above). The comparatively thin sides (or walls) would have flared outwards towards the oval or circular mouth.
