A cast silver die stamped cufflink element of 17th Century dating. The cuff link consists of a single disc or cuff link element. It is circular in plan, with bevelled edges. . The back is plain and undecorated. The method of attachment is missing. The front has been die stamped with a crown with central cross pattee ornament. Two hearts are below. This design is believed to be a reference to that of the marriage of Charles II (1660-1685) to Catherine of Braganza in 1662. It has a diameter of 12.63mm and is 2.50mm thick. It weighs 1.6 grams.
