An incomplete wrought iron tanged arrowhead of Medieval dating (12th to 13th Centuries AD). The arrowhead has a triangular blade, with a lentoid cross section. The tang is circular sectioned and incomplete. The arrowhead is a mid brown colour, with an uneven surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of surface detail. There is minimal surface corrosion product (rust) present. A complete cast copper alloy decorative stud, probably from a medieval book. The head of the stud is a eight-point star (octofoil) which is domed in profile with a flattened top. The surface has eight triangular ridges. The underside of the head is hollow with a central integral circular sectioned stud. The stud tapers to a blunt broken point. The break is not recent. The book clasp consists of a sub rectangular sheet of copper alloy metal, bent back on itself, with ornate cut edges. The front exhibits a central domed area, with the remnants of two iron rivets on the left hand side. A series of V shaped notches have been cut along the edges to create a decorative edge. The buckle frame is square in plan, with two projecting knops at each corner on the inside edge. The frame is rectangular in cross section.
