A complete but worn, cast copper alloy trade weight of Post Medieval (18th century dating). The weight is circular with a raised rim on the top of the weight. The top has been decorated with a series of concentric incised circles. No stamps or countermarks are visible. The base is plain and undecorated, apart from a recessed circular depression at the centre. The weight is a mid to dark green colour, with an uneven surface patina. A complete cast copper alloy finger ring, probably of Early Post Medieval dating (1500-1700). The hoop is D shaped in cross section, being rounded to the external (outside edge). No bezel is present. The finger ring is a mid to dark green colour, with patches of a dark green surface patina present. This patina is likely to be the original surface, the majority of which has been removed due to abrasion occuring as a result of movement within the plough soil.
