A complete but worn struck / hammered copper alloy trade token, issued by Samuel Lvdinton (of the Mercer's Arms), during the mid 17th Century (1660-1683). Both Townsend (1983, p.40) and Williamson (1889, p461, #155) has identified this token as belong to that of Samuel Ludinton, who was mayor of the City of Lincoln in 1647 and 1660. There was another Samuel Ludinton, probably the son of the former, who held the office of Sheriff in 1681 and Mayor in 1683 (Williamson, 1889, p461). The thimble is circular in plan, and broadly D shaped in cross section / profile, with gentle sloping sides and a pointed domed top. The thimble has been formed from relatively thick cast metal. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of probable Late Anglo-Saxon dating (750 - 1100 AD). The strap end is sub oval (rectangle with flattened ends and bowed sides) in plan. The majority of the strap end is cast as a solid piece, with the exception of the widest part of the terminal which divides, in profile, forming a 'V' shape. An incomplete copper alloy mount of medieval date. It consists of a rectangular plate with concave surface, with a trefoil or fleur-de-lis projection at one end. The outer foils, or leaves of the fleur, each have a circular hole which may originally have been used for attachment. In the centre of the fleur is a diagonal grooved cross or saltire. An incomplete silver finger ring, of Roman dating (43 AD to 410 AD). The ring is incomplete, missing an inset intaglio (oval setting), but is otherwise in good condition. The ring is D shaped in section. The ring is no longer circular in plan, being squashed out of shape, and is now oval in shape. It measures 21.29mm tall, 26.98mm wide, 13.18 thick at the bezel, 3.88mm thick at the base of the hoop and the hoop is 3.42mm thick. It weighs 10.7 grams. The ring has been reported as Treasure, being older than 300 years with a precious metal (silver) content of greater than 10%.

A complete, but bent gold posy finger ring of Late Post Medieval dating to the17th Century No trace of enamel is surviving on the exterior, which has been decorated on the exterior with double hearts flanked by love birds with foliage and flowers, including a pansy for 'thoughts'.
