Medieval coin: A struck / hammered silver penny of possibly of John (1199 to 1216), possibly minted between 1204/5 and c.1209. Possibly Class 5b. The reverse has been double struck, which has rendered the reverse illegible so mint and moneyer can not be easily determined. The coin has been misshapen by post depositional damage. Diameter: 21.20mm Thickness: 1.06mm Weight: 1.4 grams.
