A complete cast copper alloy, probable corner brace or staple, probably from a box, of probable Medieval dating (13th to 17th Centuries AD).
The brace is L shaped in plan. The long edge has a rectangular section and has a blunt, rounded terminal. The short edge has a circular section, and has a sharp point.
The brace is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
It measures 25.59mm in length, 19.65mm wide and 4.65mm thick. It weighs 2.7 grams.
