An incomplete cast copper alloy artefact of uncertain dating and function. The artefact consists of a circular sectioned handle, with incomplete tip. The base of the handle has been decorated with a raised collar, and then an oval swelling. The top of the artefact is incomplete and has the remains of four curved arms. It is a dark green colour, with a slightly abraded uneven patina. It measures 43.81mm in length, 23.61mm wide and 7.00mm thick. It weighs 6.6 grams. A complete but heavily worn, cast copper alloy probable coin weight of uncertain denomination and dating. The coin weight is circular in plan, and rectangular in cross section. One side appears to have a standing figure holding left arm up and the other, possibly a Roman style standard. The coin weight is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement in the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of surface detail. It measures 12.00mm in diameter and 2.57mm thick. It weighs 1.7 grams.
