An incomplete heavily worn and clipped silver half real of Ferdinand and Isabelle of Spain (AD 1474 to AD 1504), of uncertain mint. Diameter: 17.54 mm Thickness: 0.28 mm Weight: 0.4 g Spanish Reals are not uncommon finds as they were accepted as legal tender during the reign of Mary I (AD 1553 - AD 1558), around the time of her marriage to Philip of Spain. They were revoked as legal tender in AD 1561 but continued in circulation into the 17th Century AD.
