An incomplete cast copper alloy probable tooth pick, of Roman to Post Medieval dating (1 - 1700 AD).
The find consists of a cast strip of copper alloy, sub rectangular in plan and D shaped in cross section. One end consist of a forked end, and the other displays an old break. The ends of the forked (bifurbicated) end do display some damage due to abrasion. An upward bend is present in the middle of the strip. The back is plain.
The find is a mid reddish green colour, with the original surface patina only surviving in a few locations. The patina does have a blackish tinge, …
