An incomplete copper alloy toggle clasp or strap fitting, of Post Medieval dating (17th Century AD) Around 90% of the toggle clasp is present, with the eye section being in complete. It consists of an oval plate with a debased trefoil knop, with a transverse ridged collar. A transverse ridged and grooved collar is present at the juncture of the plate and the eye section. An incomplete copper alloy fragment, probably from a hooked strap fitting of probable post-medieval date (AD 1500 - AD 1700). The strap fitting is broadly sub-rectangular in plan. The fitting can be divided into two separate parts; the body and the hooked terminal. The hooked terminal is lost and the break is worn and eroded suggested a relatively old break. The strap fitting consists of a circular hollow-domed plate with, at one end a projecting collared debased trefoil attachment knop, and the other end is a close butted blunt hook, with a double rounded collar at the junction with the plate.
