A complete cast copper alloy two part strap end, of Late Medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1450). The strap end is broadly sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section. The longitudinal edges are bevelled and taper from the widest - strap end to a blunted terminal. The strap end is formed from two parts a cast front plate and a sheet metal back plate. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of Late Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1500). The strap end has been made in three (3) parts: front and back sheet plates, riveted to a 'U' shaped spacer. The base of the spacer projects as a multiple ridged knop. The top of the front plate has been decorated with a row of four (4) triangles. The edges of the front plate are incomplete. The back plate is plain and undecorated. The strap end measures 24.92 mm in length, 8.58 mm wide and 3.77 mm thick. It weighs 1.4 g. The strap end is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
