A solid cast, Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval (1500 to 1700 AD) domed lead alloy button. The head of the button is plano-convex in shape, with a flat base and domed top. The front of the button is decorated with an embossed (slightly raised) long cross design with a central pellet in each quarter. A incomplete cast lead or lead alloy lion headed mount, of probable Post Medieval dating (16th to 18th Centuries AD). The mount is sub oval in plan and D-shaped in cross section. It consists of a Lion's Head, and surrounding mane, facing outwards. The detail of the face and mane have been lost through abrasion, but it is possible to identify the eyes, nose and mouth of the lion. An incomplete cast lead alloy seal matrix, of Medieval dating (1200 to 1400 AD). The matrix fragment is sub rectangular in plan, and rectangular in cross section. Approximately a quarter of the device survives, and consists of several letters of the inscription running clockwise around the edge of the device, surrounding the central design. The surviving part of the design consists of a lower curled petal, probably the lower leaf of a fleur de lys / lis. It is possible to read the letter D as part of the inscription. A complete spherical lead alloy ball, probably a musket ball, of 17th Century dating. The lead shot is spherical in nature, displaying a couple of nicks and a small ridge, probably the remnants of the casting process. It is a mid grey to white colour with an even surface patina. It has a diameter of 14.96mm and weighs 18.1 grams. Shot of this type and weight are normally attributed to use with muskets, and of 17th Century dating onwards.
