A complete cast copper alloy artefact, probably a seal matrix of late Post Medieval to Modern date. The artefact is tall and circular in cross-section, with one end tapering to a blunt point with a small terminal knop. Below this, the length of the object is decorated with four circular collars or ridges, positioned in two pairs, separated by three shallow grooves and two wide flat bands.The other end expands slightly to a flat circular base. An incomplete lead or lead alloy powder flask cap or measure, of Post Medieval dating (17th Century AD). Approximately 95% of the cap is present, with parts of the rim and a handle missing. It is sub circular in plan, and sub rectangular in cross section. Originally it would have been circular or oval in plan (as viewed from above). A complete copper alloy pipe tamper, of Post Medieval dating (18th to 19th Centuries AD). The design of the tamper is of a hand holding a clay pipe aloft, with two fingers above the stem, two below and the thumb near the tip balancing the pipe. The base of the tamper is scored with crossing diagonal lines. The stem has been decorated with four concentric raised rings, and it gradually widens towards the base of the tamper. A complete silver, probable dress hook, of probable Post medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1700). The probable dress hook has a basic domed triangular shape, with half spheres located at each point. A second much smaller domed triangle is positioned centrally on the base or flat side of the first, and then the base extends into a rectangular eye. A small coin hoard of six coins, of Late Post Medieval dating (AD 1680s onwards). Five of the coins are from the issues of Charles II, four guineas, which will be of the 22 carat 'crown gold' standard and one shilling, which will be of the sterling standard, over 90% fine metal. These coins would have been in currency together in the later 17th or early 18th century and the absence of any coins of the later Stuarts or early Hanoverians makes it seem unlikely that it is a group from much later than around 1690.
