A fragment of probable silver inlay. It consists of thin piece of silver metal, decorated on one side. The lower edge is curved. The decoration consists of crossing fleur-de-lys or leaf-tendrils forming an inward pointing triangle in which is a further leaf-motif. This decoration is set against a back-ground of roughly incised lines which could represent the keying for enamel or niello inlay although the cells lack sufficient depth to retain inlay. A complete gold cylindrical artefact with filigree decoration. The artefact is hollow (now filled with soil) and comprises a rectangular gold sheet rolled into a circular shape. An incomplete copper alloy sword pommel of Early Medieval dating (probably 10th to 11th Centuries AD). The pommel is of lobed form, with a central lobe which contains a circular shaped aperture through which the tang of the handle would pass. This central lobe is flanked by two lobes, decreasing in size.The outer lobes curve up at the end towards the knop. The pommel is open at the base, and the aperture is lozenge shaped. The underside is deeply hollow. The integral attachment lugs are missing from either side. No traces of decoration survive on the surfaces.
