A complete cast copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle frame and pin, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1575 to AD 1700). The buckle frame is sub trapezoidal in plan, and has a narrowed strap bar. Engraved transverse lines are present on the upper edges of the frame. The pin is present and consists of a double tongued sheet metal pin, wrapped around the strap bar. An incomplete copper alloy double loop oval buckle frame, of late Medieval dating (c. AD 1400 to AD 1600). The buckle frame consists of a double looped oval buckle frame, with bevelled edges to the frame. The edges of the buckle frame are raised higher than the central bar. A small v shaped pin rest is present on the outer edges. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The remains of an iron pin are present wrapped around the central bar. A complete copper alloy double loop oval buckle frame, of late Medieval dating (c. AD 1400 to AD 1600). The pin and strap plate are not present. The front of the buckle has bevelled edges, with probable ropework decoration. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The buckle frame measures 31.0 mm in length, 19.5 mm wide and 3.4 mm thick. It weighs 3.5 grams. The buckle is a mid dark green, with an uneven surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.
