A cast copper alloy two piece buckle frame, of Post Medieval dating (1690 - 1720). The buckle frame is sub-rectangular in plan, and the frame is D-shaped in cross section. In profile, the frame is slightly bowed. Only the buckle frame is present, the drilled spindle and the chape are no longer present. Two drilled holes, for the spindle, are present located centrally on the long axis of the frame. A complete cast copper alloy D shaped buckle frame, of Post Medieval to Modern dating (17th to 19th Centuries AD). It is D-shaped in plan, and the frame exhibits a D-shape cross section, with the curve on the internal surface. The pin is missing, presumably lost in antiquity. There is no evidence of a pin rest on the curved part of the frame. It measures 15.70mm in length, 21.66mm wide and 3.59mm thick. It weighs 2.5 grams.
