A complete copper alloy zoomorphic decorative pouring spout or laver, probably from an ewer of the Late Medieval period, dating from c. AD 1400 - c. AD 1500. This artefact has an integrally cast angular dog's head terminal with a tubular spout extending out from the dog's open sub lozenge-shaped mouth (internal diameter of spout: 6.5mm), the tube is gripped by the jaws of the dog.
