One rim sherd of a wheel thrown moulded ceramic vessel, of Early Roman dating (Mid to Late 1st Century). The rimsherd is consistent with that of a Samian fabric type, possibly from La Graufesenque in South Gaul, and is consistent with Mid to Late 1st Century dating. The shape of the sherd is consistent with a carinated bowl type such as a Dragendorff type 29. The front of the sherd exhibits moulded and rouletted decoration. A bead rim is present at the top. The vessel fragment is sub rectangular in plan and sub triangular in cross section. The vessel leg has a flared terminal, probably imitating an animal paw. The rim sherd consists of a fabric similar to that known as Tudor Green, dating from the 15th to 16th Centuries AD. Tudor Green type wares consist of a pale fabric with a green glaze on both the interior and exterior of the vessel. The rimsherd probably came from a large open bowl type vessel. A rim fragment from a hand made (blown) glass vessel, of probable Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410). The fragment consists of a flattened sub oval rim, descending into a narrow circular neck. This fragment probably came from a small jar or ointment vessel. The vessel was probably a mid translucent green colour, but patination on the surface has obscured some of the original vessel coloration. Three incomplete copper alloy rim fragments from probably two copper alloy large posnets or cauldrons of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 - AD 1700). A fragment from a wheelthrown ceramic vessel. The fragment consist of a handle, part of the rim, and part of the body. The handle is 24.9 mm wide, 19.8 mm thick and 93.6 mm in length. The fragment is 94.9 mm long, 116.5 mm wide and 93.6 mm thick. It weighs 153.9 g. The fabric is a hard oxidised fabric, with a frequent quartz (sand) temper, which is suggestive of a Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1600). An incomplete sheet copper alloy handle attachment plate, from a skimmer, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1450 to AD 1700). The attachment plant has been constructed from two pieces of sheet copper alloy metal, that has been riveted together with rolled sheet copper alloy rivets. The handle is now in four fragments.
