An incomplete gilded silver finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400). Around 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting of the bezel and part of the hoop. The rest of the hoop is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The edges of the hoop look deliberately cut. The finger ring has been made from two elements: the bezel and the hoop. The hoop has been soldered onto the reverse of the bezel. The bezel is a quatrefoil shape, with a four petalled flower as a motif. A complete copper alloy signet finger ring, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (c. AD 1450 to c. AD 1650). The bezel is sub circular in plan. The device consists of a heraldic shield. The shield depicts a central chevron, a pellet located centrally and a crescent surrounding a mullet (star) in top right hand corner. Description: A complete gold finger ring, probably dating to the 15th Century. The finger ring is circular in plan, and D shaped in section. The exterior of the band has been decorated with a black letter inscription of three words, separated by a three petalled leaf. The inscription reads 'tout mon + ceur' ('All my heart'). Keying marks are present behind the inscription and foliate spacers, suggesting that the finger ring may have previously been enamelled. A complete gold finger ring, of mid 19th Century dating. The finger ring is sub circular in plan, and D shaped in section.The exterior of the band is plain. Hallmarks and a maker's mark are present on the inside of the finger ring. The hallmarks consist of a lion rampart, an anchor, the date letter and a duty mark. The date letter is unclear but probably a D in a square cartouch with cut corners. The maker's mark consists of the initials W F.
