A complete copper alloy jetton, imitating the 'Field of France' type attributed to Charles V of France, struck at Nuremberg, during the 15th and 16th centuries AD. The obverse depicts a field bearing 9 lis, with some tracery. Legend unclear. The reverse depicts a triple stranded cross fleuretty. The legend consists of four Ms. C.f. Mitchiner 1988, p173, no 435 and Barnard, 1924. The types of certain early Nuremberg reckoning pennies used in England, NC. 261-309, no 36. Diameter: 27.5 mm Thickness: 1.2 mm Weight: 4.0 g.
