An incomplete copper alloy swivel strap fitting of Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1400). The fitting consists of two matching, interlocking elements which articulate to form a swivelling fitting between two straps. Each half of the fitting has a D-shaped loop and strap fitting at its outer end and a half-spherical joint at the other. The joints are fused together and no longer rotate. A complete enamelled copper alloy probable strap fitting of Roman dating (1st to 3rd centuries AD). The probable strap fitting consists of a triangular loop set at right angles to the head of the fitting. The head has a rectangular base but is triangular in cross section, with an apex ridge. The object is composed of three integral parts, a domed plate with an attachment loop at either end. One loop is rectangular and is attached to the longer side of the domed plate. The 'strap-slide' has a square-headed and thin platform/ head with slightly irregular and uneven edges. A thin inscribed line running around the edge is the only decoration on the front of the slide. Stratchmarks are present on the front. The underside of this platform is flat and undecorated.
