A complete copper alloy artefact of uncertain function but probably Post Medieval in dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800).
The artefact consists of a flat sheet metal loop, with ends secured through a square sheet metal plate. Each end has been folded back onto itself. One end has been squared off, the other is more triangular. The loop is no longer circular in shape, more sub oval.
It measures 26.8 mm in length, 30.3 mm wide and 5.9 mm thick. The loop is 1.4 mm thick. The square sheet piece measures 12.3 mm by 13.6 mm and is 1.8 mm thick. It weighs 5.0 g.

A probably complete circular sectioned copper alloy rod, of uncertain dating.
The artefact has a circular cross section and consists of a cylinderical rod. The rod has been bent back on itself, forming an almost complete loop. One end is wider (5.5 mm) than the other (4.9) mm. Both ends are patinated. It is hard to tell if they are complete or broken.
If straightened, it would have a length of 92 mm. Currently it has a length of 42.5 mm, a width of 25.1 mm and is 5.4 mm thick. It weighs 14.0 g.

The fragment is sub rectangular in shape, and is convex. The lower edge is complete, the other edges incomplete with post-depositional patinated breaks. A rim is present along the lower edge. The outer surface is smooth, the inner rough and unpolished. The curvature is consistent with a 3 cm rim diameter and 20% of the rim is present.
