An incomplete cast copper alloy bar of uncertain dating, but possibly Medieval in origin (12th to 15th Centuries AD). The bar is sub rectangular in plan, and lentoid in cross section. It exhibits five double ridges (bands) equally spaced down the length of the bar. Each single ridge is approximately 1.8mm wide. The base of the bar looks intact and consists of a rounded end, whereas the top is broken across the width, exhibiting an old break with a rectangular cross section.
