Along the length of the body, are longituditual ridges, with possible zig zag decoration between them. It has a length of 19.5 mm, is 11.3 mm wide and 8.6 mm thick. It weighs 11.7 g. The artefact is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement while within the plough soil, has resulted in the loss of some of the original surface detail.

An incomplete cast lead alloy toy whirligig or buzz disc of Post Medieval date, circa AD1600-1900. The serrated disc has two string holes which are circular in shape and drilled from both sides. Originally seventeen triangular spokes/teeth were present. Two are now missing with the rest either folded over or bent. The whirligig has a mid grey colour with an even patina. Length: 41.42mm. Width: 35.26mm. Thickness: 2.54mm. Weight: 14.2g. Comparable whirligigs recorded under references NMS-2C91DS, GLO-7194F8, IOW-41FB50.
