An incomplete copper alloy terminal from a rowel spur arm, of Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th CenturiesAD). The fragment consists of a heart shaped terminal, with two circular perforations (holes). The spur arm has a D shaped cross section, with a flat reverse. Beneath the heart shaped terminal is a moulded rectangular collar, with a straight horizontal groove across it as decoration. A complete copper-alloy terminal, 'end-cap' or pommel from a knife of Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1600). This terminal is likely to have come from an iron scale tang knife. The terminal is in the form of a human head wearing a pointed hat or helmet with multiple vertically engraved lines perhaps suggesting hair with a double-banded ruff around the neck. An incomplete copper-alloy (bronze) cast horse harness fitting or strap distributor, dating from the late Iron age to the early Roman period ( c.50BC-AD50). The object comprises three connected openwork trefoil rings (of which two survives intact) and a probable central motif of a horses head projecting 90 degrees from the centre of the object. The complete rings have an internal diameter of 9.7 mm and 8.8 mm.
