An incomplete lead or lead alloy steelyard weight, of probable Roman dating (1st to 2nd Century AD). The weight is biconical in shape. A central circular recess is present in the base of the weight (internal diameter is 14.6 mm). The remains of the copper alloy suspension loop are present at the top of the weight. It measures 38.7 mm tall, with a maximum diameter of 43.9 mm. The copper alloy loop is 2.5 mm wide and 0.9 mm thick. It weighs 203.7 g (7.19 oz). An incomplete cast copper alloy finger ring, of Roman dating (2nd to 3rd Centuries AD). The finger ring is approximately 50% complete, missing the back part of the hoop. The front part with intaglio setting is present. The intaglio is missing. The hoop is D section and flares at the shoulders into a wide flat bezel. A shallow recessed oval setting is present approximately centrally in the bezel, this would have been the setting for an intaglio, now missing.
