An incomplete copper alloy thistle headed torc of Iron Age dating (2nd Century BC to 1st Century AD). One terminal and part of the neck ring are present. The terminal is of the thistle head style, with a flat top. The terminal extends from the neck ring, first with a narrow collar (8.2 mm diameter), and then a wider swollen collar (4.6 mm long, 9.4 mm diameter), then a circular groove (8.9 mm diameter), before expanding outwards into a flat thistle head. An incomplete probable tankard handle or vessel fitting, of probable Late Iron Age dating (c. 500 BC to 100 AD). The probable fitting is semi-circular in shape, with the flat edge at the top. An incomplete cast copper alloy terret of simple type dating to the Late Iron Age, circa 300BC-AD100. Just under half of the object survives due to old breaks. The hoop of the terret is circular in section and originally the object would have been D-shaped in plan. The object terminates with the remains of the plate bar protruding from a collar which has two moulded bands of decoration.
