A cast silver die stamped cufflink element of 17th Century dating.
The cuff link consists of a single disc or cuff link element. It is circular in plan, with bevelled edges. . The back is plain and undecorated. The method of attachment is missing. The front has been die stamped with a crown with central cross pattee ornament. Two hearts are below.
This design is believed to be a reference to that of the marriage of Charles II (1660-1685) to Catherine of Braganza in 1662.
It has a diameter of 12.63mm and is 2.50mm thick. It weighs 1.6 grams.

The finial consists of robed figure, with bare head and chin length chin, holding a book in his right hand and either a saw or a one sided palm frond in his left. The figure is stood on a double fluted hexagonal shaped base.

The strap end is sub oval (rectangle with flattened ends and bowed sides) in plan. The majority of the strap end is cast as a solid piece, with the exception of the widest part of the terminal which divides, in profile, forming a 'V' shape. A complete cast copper alloy bar mount, of Medieval dating (c.1200 to c. 1500 AD).
The mount is sub rectangular in plan, and D shaped in section. At the centre of the bar is a square panel with faint cross hatched decoration and traces of gilding. Either side of the central panel both arms are identical and have a short faceted section followed by a prominent transverse ridge. At each end of the bar are semi-circular terminals that are slightly dome-shaped in form and have projecting oval shaped terminal knops. They have at their centre circular rivet holes.

The weight is an irregular cone in plan, and triangular in profile / cross section. A length of thick iron wire has been inserted into the top of the weight (the flat surface of the cone), probably as a method of suspension. Iron corrosion products present have obscured the original shape of the probable suspension loop.

An incomplete silver finger ring, of Roman dating (43 AD to 410 AD).
The ring is incomplete, missing an inset intaglio (oval setting), but is otherwise in good condition. The ring is D shaped in section. The ring is no longer circular in plan, being squashed out of shape, and is now oval in shape.
It measures 21.29mm tall, 26.98mm wide, 13.18 thick at the bezel, 3.88mm thick at the base of the hoop and the hoop is 3.42mm thick. It weighs 10.7 grams.
The ring has been reported as Treasure, being older than 300 years with a precious metal (silver) content of greater than 10%.

The handle is an elongated 'tear drop' shape, with a rounded end. The front exhibits a central ridge (Hanoverian terminal) and the back is flat. Two initials have been scratched on the reverse 'S*C', presumably those of the original owner.
The handle has broken across the hallmark, with only the standard mark being present. This mark consists of a Lion passant, facing left in a rectangular cartouche, with a small triangle removed next to the lion's head.

A small coin hoard / purse loss consisting of three (3) coins of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). It consists of two groats, both minted between 1560 and 1561 with a mintmark of cross crosslets, and a shilling also minted between 1560 and 1561 with a mintmark of a martlet.
The coins have been recorded separately as: LVPL-023DF0; LVPL-022CD8 and LVPL-01C2D2.
As the find consists of two or more precious metal coins (silver in this case), it is potentially classifed under the Treasure Act 1996 and has been reported to the local Coroner.

In plan, the jews harp consists of a sub circular head, and two tapering arms, both with the characteristic lozenge cross section. The arms are incomplete, displaying an old break. The rabbet is located at the apex of the head, still containing the remnants of the iron tongue.

The clay tobacco pipe has been moulded from a white pipeclay.
The pipe fragment consists of an almost complete bowl. A horizontal line is present, running parallel to the rim edge. The rim of the bowl has been damaged.
The clay pipe measures 26.59mm high, with a maximum diameter 19.22mm. The wall of the clay pipe bowl is 2.55mm thick. It weighs 5.9 grams. The bowl style is similar to that of Oswald's type 4 (Oswald, 1975, p.37). This type is typically dated to c. 1600 - 1640 AD.

The socketed hammer is rectangular in plan and cross section, and cuboid in shape. Each face exhibits a panel of ridged decoration at the top, and U shaped recess at the base. Casting ridges are present down each side, and have been smoothed off. The tip has been bevelled. At the base of the socket, some white residue or possibly clay soil remnants are present.
