An irregular fragment of lead alloy casting waste, of uncertain dating, but possibly Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval (1400 - 1800 AD). The casting waste fragment consists is sub circular in plan, with uneven, almost bubbly surfaces. It is sub rectangular in cross section. The upper surface exhibits a large number of casting flaws or air bubbles. The lower surface is flat, and has a faint spiral design. It is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. It consists of a square base, with two corners removed at diagonals and an integrally cast diagonal gnomon, which has since been flattened through soil pressure. Raised diagonal ribs are present, radiating out from the centre of the device to a circular border around the edge. A complete spherical lead alloy ball, probably a musket ball, of 17th Century dating. The lead shot is sub spherical in nature, displaying a couple of nicks and a small ridge, probably the remnants of the casting process. It is a mid to dark grey colour with an uneven surface patina. It has a diameter of 12.60mm and weighs 11.0 grams. Shot of this type and weight are normally attributed to use with muskets, and of 17th Century dating onwards.

The seal matrix is a vesica shaped die (oval with pointed ends), with an incomplete probable tab handle. The handle has a rectangular cross section. The die depicts a six legged curvilinear stylised floral design, surrounded by the legend around the edge. The legend can be read. It appears to read +SIGIL hENR:FIL:ROBTI. A complete but fragmentary cast lead or lead alloy two part cloth seal, from the Norwich Weavers Company of Late 17th Century dating. The cloth seal consists of a two part cloth seal, folded in half, with disc 2 being in two fragments. Each disc is sub circular in plan, with the remains of the connecting strip present on each one. Disc 1 (the front disc) bears the identification of the type of cloth, and disc 2 (the back disc), has a central hole for the rivet to go through and a figure for the length in yards of the piece as measured.
