A length of thick iron wire has been inserted into the top of the weight (the flat surface of the cone), probably as a method of suspension. Iron corrosion products present have obscured the original shape of the probable suspension loop. No decoration is present on the weight. An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy bag seal, of probable Late Post Medieval to Modern dating (1700 to 1900 AD). The bag seal consists of two sub circular discs of lead or lead alloy pressed together. Approximately 50% of the front disc is present, with a stamped design. Only the letter H survives of the original design, with a floral design above and a pelleted border. The back is plain and undecorated. The bag seal is a light to mid grey colour, with an even surface patina. It measures 22.09mm in diameter and 5.12mm thick. It weighs 4.8 grams.
