An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of probable Late Anglo-Saxon dating (750 - 1100 AD). The strap end is sub oval (rectangle with flattened ends and bowed sides) in plan. The majority of the strap end is cast as a solid piece, with the exception of the widest part of the terminal which divides, in profile, forming a 'V' shape. The leather strap would have been attached to the strap end by rivets. The back part of the V shaped union is present, the front plate is missing. An incomplete cast copper alloy book clasp, of probable Late Anglo-Saxon or early Medieval dating (1000 - 1200 AD). The object is thick and flat, and although made in one piece can be described in three separate areas: the flared split end for attaching it to the strap, the central circular element, and the projecting animal-head terminal. The frame is an irregular oval (D shape) in plan, with the apex of the frame being heavily swollen and tapering to the junction with the axis bar. The axis bas is offset from the plan of the frame. The buckle plate and the pin are missing. From the swollen mid point, the sides taper in both width and thickness to a slight axis bar. A complete cast copper alloy mount of 11th century dating. The mount is irregular in plan. It consists of an openwork interlaced zoomorphic style design on the front, with two facing beasts with gaping mounts. The beast heads are located at the base, on either side, with their tails interlocking at the top of the mount. No flange is present on the reverse of the mount. The back is plain and undecorated. An incomplete cast copper alloy annular brooch of Anglo-Saxon dating (5th to 6th Century AD). Approximately 50% of the brooch frame is present, the pin is missing, presumably lost in antiquity. The brooch frame consists of a flat curved band. The front has been decorated with a series of punched ring and dot designs. Perforations or holes are present instead of the central dot.
