A complete lead or lead alloy artefact of uncertain function and dating, but possibly Medieval to Post Medieval (AD 1200 to AD 1800).
The artefact is irregular in shape, it has a lower fleur de lys or lis terminal, which extends into a large crescent shaped plate. One side of the crescent plate has been folded over to the centre point. Both sides of the crescent exhibit raised decoration, although it is hard to identify the patterns. A complete lead or lead alloy circular disc, of uncertain function and dating, but possibly Post Medieval in dating (AD 1500 to AD 1800).
The artefact is flat and circular in shape. Three small perforations or holes are present, all sub circular and varying in size from 2.4 mm to 3.4 mm. A series of impressed marks are present around the outside of the disc. These could read I, II, III, IV and V when reflected in a mirror. They are not evenly spaced. The reverse is undecorated.
The artefact has a diameter of 46.2 mm and is 2.3 mm thick. It weighs 27.1 g.
