A complete wrought iron rectangular buckle frame and pin, of probable Medieval to Post Medieval dating (1400 - 1600 AD). The buckle frame is sub rectangular in plan, and rectangular in profile. The outside edge is slightly curved. The pin is sub rectangular, with a tapering tip, and appears to have been wrapped around the strap bar. The buckle is a mid to dark reddish brown in colour, with an even surface patina. The buckle is covered with a layer of iron corrosion (rust), which has resulted in a loss of surface detail.
