A complete lead alloy finger ring dating to the Modern period (AD 2000 - 2018). The ring has a rectangular cross sectioned loop which has a rectangular projection at one side which resembles a hinge. It has a flat bezel which is 'heart' shaped and this is decorated with a design formed of four joined circles with a raised trapezoidal shape curring through them.. A gem is set into the bezel with a plain setting. The gem is oval. Under magnification, it is possible to see pitting and a conchoidal fracture in the surface of the gem, suggesting that it is probably glass as opposed to a gemstone.
