Description: A complete cast silver coiled or spiral, probable finger ring, of uncertain dating (100 BC to 800 AD). The probable finger ring consists of a D-section length of silver metal twisted into a spiral. One end of the piece of silver tapers to a point, the other is square ended, probably incomplete. The bezel is circular in shape, with faceted sides. On top, a soldier standing facing, holding spear or vertical sceptre in left hand. An incomplete copper alloy finger ring, of Roman dating (1st to 2nd Century AD). Around 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting of the bezel and the shoulders. The rest of the hoop is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The shoulders widen evenly and thicken slightly from the broken ends to the oval bezel and are D-shaped in section with a flat inner side and shallowly convex outer side. A complete silver finger ring, of Roman dating (AD 100 to AD 300). The finger ring has a rectangular shaped bezel, with a couple of semi circular notches removed from each side. The shoulders are triangular and flattened, with five sets of incised lines that expand from the loop outwards towards the bezel. The hoop at the back is triangular in cross section and is 4.7 mm thick and 3.9 mm wide. The bezel measures 21.6 mm in length and is 18.4 mm wide. An incomplete silver finger ring of Roman date, probably 3rd Century AD. Around 25% of the finger ring is present, consisting of part of the bezel, a shoulder and the start of the hoop. The bezel was originally rectangular in shape, with a recessed border around the edge. The end part of the inscription is present, consisting of the letters 'MT'. A complete gold possible finger ring, of probable Post Medieval to Modern dating (AD 1700 to AD 1900). The possible finger ring is rectangular in section and would have originally been circular in plan. It is now sub oval in plan. The hoop has been decorated with eight circular pits (now full of soil), that may have originally held something. Each pit has a diameter of 1.5 mm.
