A small struck flint scraper of Later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (2900 - 1800 BC). The scraper is sub circular in plan and semi circular in cross section. The dorsal (upper) face demonstrates a significant number of flake scars, indicating that this piece has been heavily worked / reworked. The ventral surface is smooth with the remains of the bulb of percussion and a few conchoidal ripples. All of the flakes are relatively small, being irregular in plan and profile with a series of varying sized flake facets present on the outer faces. An irregular primary waste flake / debitage of probable Neolithic date (3500 - 2100 BC). This piece of flint has been deliberately removed from the outer face of a flint nodule to prepare it for further work and tool production. Conchoidal ripples and a bulb of percussion are present on the dorsal (reverse) side. It measures 27.89mm length, 15.05mm width, 5.31mm thick and weighs 2.0 grams.
