A complete plain gold finger ring dating to the late Post Medieval to Modern period (c. AD 1719-2000). The ring is a very thin, undecorated band, with a D-shaped cross-section. There is a hallmark on the inside of the band is very worn and difficult to decipher. It was probably in a rectangular cartouche and the second letter is W. The first letter is unclear. A complete thin circular sectioned gold wire ring, possibly a finger ring, probably of Modern dating (AD 1800 to AD 2000). The gold wire has a diameter of 1.4 mm. No stamps or marks are present on the wire. The ends have been cut. It has been formed into a circular shape with the ends of the wire overlapping by 3.4 mm. It weighs 1.0 g. The circular section of the wire is suggestive of a modern date, and therefore as it is probably less than 300 years old, it falls outside of the remits of the Treasure Act 1996 and should not be considered to be potential Treasure.
