A complete copper alloy buckle of Medieval dating (AD 1350 to AD 1450). The buckle is D shaped, with a separate strap and pin bar. A pointed pin rest is present and the pin is wrapped aorund the pin bar. The pin has a circular cross section. The buckle measures 19.1 mm in length, 15.1 mm wide and 4.9 mm thick. It weighs 2.3 g. The pin measures 13.9 mm. The buckle is a light to mid green, with an even patina. Similar shaped buckles have been published by Whitehead (1996) on page 88, no 543 and he considers it to typically date between AD 1350 and 1450.

An incomplete possible dolphin headed copper alloy buckle, of late Roman dating (4th to 5th Centuries AD). The possible buckle exhibits two biting animal heads, possibly dolphins, grasping a ball or egg shaped object between their jaws. On either side of the animal heads is a circular attachment lug, with a circular hole positioned centrally. The hole has an internal diameter of 1.8 mm. A complete copper alloy buckle, of Medieval dating (c. AD 1350 to c. AD 1400). The buckle consists of buckle frame, pin and plate. The buckle frame is D shaped, with an ornate outside edge. A double pin rest is present in the centre, with a flanking knop to either side. A horizontal bar is present next to the strap bar. The strap bar is narrowed and recessed. The reverse of the frame is flat and undecorated. The pin has been made from a triangular strip of sheet copper alloy metal. An incomplete composite buckle plate, of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400). The buckle frame and pin are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. Only the plate is present, but incomplete. Approximately 75% of the buckle plate is present, with the back plate incomplete, the front present but the loops incomplete.
