The buckle frame was probably trapezoidal in shape, with triangular corner knops.  It measures 23.0 mm in length, 13.0 mm wide and 5.1 mm thick. It weighs 3.4 g. The buckle frame fragment is a mid to dark grey colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.
