An incomplete copper alloy double looped trapezoidal buckle of Post Medieval dating (AD 1620 -AD 1680).
The buckle frame is present, the strap plate is missing. Iron corrosion products are present around the central bar, indicating that the pin was iron. The outer loops are sub rectangular in shape. Both outer loops has a trefoil shaped end and a lobed protrusion at either end of the narrowed strap bar.
The buckle measures 35.1 mm in length, 23.2 mm wide and is 10.6 mm thick. It weighs 5.7 g.

A complete copper alloy single-loop buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1500).
The frame of the buckle is D-shaped in form and oval in cross-section. The bar is off-set with a constriction for the pin. The outer edge of the frame widens in the middle to act as the pin rest. A V shaped pin rest is present. The front of the buckle is bevelled. The reverse is flat.
It measures 37.9 mm in length, 51.1 mm wide and 5.4 mm thick. It weighs 16.5 g.
The buckle is a dark green to brown colour, with an even surface patina.

A complete copper alloy double looped buckle frame, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1630 to AD 1690).
The buckle frame consists of an oval, divided into two by the central bar, forming a double loop. The central bar is slightly bent. The frame has been decorated by conjoined convex (domed) roundels, 16 in total. The reverse is flat.
It measures 29.3 mm in length, 15.2 mm wide and 2.4 mm thick. It weighs 2.5 g.

Less than 25% of the buckle frame is present, consisting of one corner. The buckle frame was probably trapezoidal in shape, with triangular corner knops.
It measures 23.0 mm in length, 13.0 mm wide and 5.1 mm thick. It weighs 3.4 g.
The buckle frame fragment is a mid to dark grey colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.

The pin has been made from a triangular sheet of copper alloy metal. The wide end would have been folded around the strap bar and is now incomplete. It tapers to a blunt point.

Only the buckle frame is present, the pin, chape and axis bar are missing. The buckle frame is trapezoidal in plan, with a drilled frame, for a separate spindle. The frame exhibits moulded decoration. Scrolled knops are present on either side of the spindle holes and a moulded pin rest is present on both of the outer loops. The pin rest moulding consists of a V shaped notch.
The buckle frame measures 25.0 mm in length, 17.3 mm wide and 3.8 mm thick. It weighs 2.7 grams.

An incomplete copper alloy rectangular buckle strap plate of Medieval dating (c. AD 1350 to AD 1450).
Originally folded around the strap bar is a buckle plate formed from sheet metal. The buckle plate has broken at the fold, and is now in two halves. The edges of the buckle plate have been narrowed to allow for the off setting of the strap bar on the buckle frame. A rectangular pin notch has been removed. One rivet holes is present, at the far end of the buckle plate, away from the pin.

Circular punches cover the front of the frame as decoration. The back of the frame is flat and flush with the back of the pin bar. The pin bar is narrowed. The pin is missing, but was likely made of iron.

A complete copper alloy buckle frame of post-medieval date, circa AD 1660-1720.
Only the buckle frame remains, the separate drilled spindle and pin are missing.
The buckle is a trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame that would have held the separate spindle. The buckle has concave notched ends with two circular perforations with a double-stranded bar between them. The frame has bifid concave sides that are flanked by a pointed knop. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The buckle is 38.5 mm long, 23.7 mm wide and 3.3 mm thick and weighs 5.3 g.
