A complete copper alloy trapezoidal buckle and spindle, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1660 to AD 1720). The buckle frame is trapezoidal in plan, with a drilled frame, for a separate spindle. The frame exhibits moulded decoration. Scrolled knops are present on either side of the spindle holes and a moulded pin rest is present on both of the outer loops. Annulet decoration is present on the outer loops. The sheet roller is missing.  The buckle measures 29.1 mm in length, 10.3 mm in width and 5.9 mm in thickness, and weighs 4.4 g. The buckle is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina. It has a lateral groove on the edge of the frame. Scrollwork is present on the corners. The frame has been drilled for a separate spindle.
