An incomplete lead star of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1550). The star has six curving rays, with a raised rib in the centre. Raised pellets are positioned along the edge of each ray. No attachment points are present on the reverse. It measures 15.7 mm in length, 16.6 mm wide and 3.2 mm thick. It weighs 2.9 g. Two similar lead stars have been recorded from the same field, FAKL-356B49. Stars of this type were attached, as decoration, to the ceilings of buildings (Egan, 2005, 69-71). It is circular sectioned, with a break due to an air bubble created during the casting process. The other end is rounded to a blunt point. It measures 47.8 mm in length, with a diameter of 8.0 mm. The artefact consists of a forward-facing sub-circular hook, with a lozenge-shaped cross-section, beneath an elongated rectangular suspension loop.
