A Post Medieval knop from the lid of a tobacco jar. It is octofoil with an integral rivet made from lead. The knop or handle has a high domed circular centre with eight petals around and has been compressed whilst buried. It weighs 10.63g and measures 15.5mm in height(width), 19.9mm in diameter. A solid cast, Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval (1500 to 1700 AD) domed lead alloy button. The head of the button is plano-convex in shape, with a flat base and domed top. The front of the button is decorated with an embossed (slightly raised) long cross design with a central pellet in each quarter. Cast lead alloy unifaced token of probable post medieval dating (1600 to 1800 AD). The token is broadly circular in plan. The upper face (obverse) exhibits a series of irregularly spaced radiating lines from a central pellet. There are seven (7) spokes in total. A single pellet is present between two of the radiating spokes. The lower face (reverse) is plain and undecorated. The token has been bent slightly, so it no longer lies flat. The token measures 18.75mm in diameter and is 2.27mm thick. It weighs 4.4 grams.
