A fragment of a post Medieval stoneware rim sherd with a horizontal ridge. Possibly a Raeren-type, or possibly an Aachen-type (1300 - 1800).
A wheel thrown vessel. The fabric is hard fired with a grey core and brownish yellow inner and outer surfaces (Munsell Colour: 10YR 6/6). Above the ridge there is a line of impressed marks forming an abstract design that vaguely resembles letters. The distance between the rounded rim and the rib is 22.2mm. The clay tobacco pipe has been moulded from a white pipeclay.
The pipe fragment consists of an almost complete bowl. A horizontal line is present, running parallel to the rim edge. The rim of the bowl has been damaged.
The clay pipe measures 26.59mm high, with a maximum diameter 19.22mm. The wall of the clay pipe bowl is 2.55mm thick. It weighs 5.9 grams. The bowl style is similar to that of Oswald's type 4 (Oswald, 1975, p.37). This type is typically dated to c. 1600 - 1640 AD.

The fragment present was part of a larger sub-circular thick fired clay disc, commonly found in Middle to Late Iron Age (500 BC to 100 AD) sites. The fabric consists of an oxidised grog tempered fabric, with frequent fossil shell inclusions.
It measures 113.90mm in length, 58.44mm in width and is 27.77mm thick. It weighs 162.8 grams. The estimated original diameter of the fired clay disk is 30cm and approximately 13% of the circumference is present.

Eight (8) fragments of ceramic roof tile.
The fragments include pieces of tegula and imbrex, both of Roman dating (1st to 4th Centuries AD). Ceramic tile fragments such as these are indicative of a Roman building being present in the vicinity of the site.
All eight fragments exhibit a high degree of abrasion, with surfaces being lost and edges being rounded.
The fragments weigh a total of 235 grams.
