An incomplete plain glazed ceramic floor tile, of later medieval dating (13th to 15th Centuries AD). Approximately 75% of the tile is present, in two joining fragments. It consists of a orangey red oxidised ceramic tile with a light transparent green speckled glaze. The glaze extends down the original edges. The floor tile would probably have been square in shape. Four original edges survive. The base is rough and uneven, indicating that it was made on a sand surface. The tile measures 97.5mm in length, 96.6mm in width and 29.1mm thick. It weighs 380 grams.

One (1) bodysherd of a wheelthrown ceramic vessel, of Medieval dating (13th to 14th Centuries AD). The sherd is 12.09mm thick and weighs 8.8 grams. It is 36.67mm wide and 23.85mm long. The sherd has an oxidised fabric, with frequent small charcoal like inclusions. Traces of a green glaze are present on the exterior of the sherd. The fabric and the glazing is indicative of a local (unsourced) Medieval jug fabric, probably from the Worcestershire area. Looking at the profile of the sherd, it is possible that it is part of the base of a jug type vessel. S…
