One bodysherd from a wheel thrown vessel The bodysherd consists of a fabric similar to that known as Cistercian type ware, dating from the mid 15th to 17th Centuries AD. The bodysherd was probably originally from a cup or larger drinking type vessel. The sherd measures 5.63mm thick and weighs 11.3 grams. It measures 28.25mm in length and 49.10mm wide. A rimsherd of a wheelthrown salt glazed ceramic vessel. The sherd is 6.77mm thick and weighs 20.4g. It is 50.36mm long and 36.24mm wide. The rim diameter of the sherd is 4cm wide. The sherd consists of a neck and rim fragment, most likely from a jug, in a light grey stoneware fabric. The exterior surface is a dark brown mottled colour with a salt glaze (orange peel glaze).
