An incomplete ceramic bi convex decorated spindle whorl, of probably the Medieval period, dating from c. AD 1100 to AD 1450. The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and lentoid in section. Neither face seems to be decorated. The central hole is circular in shape and has been cast / set roughly centrally. It has a internal diameter of 7.6 mm. The outer edges have been damaged. A bodysherd or possible base of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman dating (c. 90 - 150 AD). The sherd is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 5.3 grams. It is 31.7 mm long and 33.8 mm wide The sherd consists of a bodysherd with an oxidised fabric with a red slip. This fabric type is consistent with an imported fine ware from Gaul, known as Samian ware. This pottery type is typically dates from the 1st to 3rd Century AD. An incomplete clay pipe (smoking) of early to mid seventeenth century AD dating (AD 1620 to AD 1660). Most of the bowl survives, but the rim is incomplete. A horizontal line is present just below the rim. The bowl is slightly bulbous and curves upwards at an angle of 45 degrees. A circular foot is present but incomplete, no maker's marks are visible.
