An incomplete copper alloy possible steelyard of probable Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410). The possible steelyard has a square shank. One end has a double collar terminal, with central circular knop. The upper collar has been decorated with oblique slashes to create a ropelike decoration. The other end exhibits a patinated break. The square shank has several horizontal grooves across the width.
