An incomplete knapped / flaked flint blade, of probable Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic dating (6500 - 2900 BC).
The blade is sub rectangular in plan, and triangular in cross section. A central ridge is present on the dorsal (upper) face, with signs of retouch along the edges. The ventral (lower) face demonstrates signs of concoidal ripples. The bulb of percussion and striking platforms are missing.
The blade is a light grey / dark beige colour, with little surface patination.
The blade measures 52.84mm length, 18.04mm width, 4.93mm thick and weighs 4.9 grams.
